French multinational advertising and public relations company Havas (EPA: HAV) has acquired Gemini Healthcare LLC, a Connecticut-based healthcare marketing, communications and consulting agency focused on the pharmaceutical and biotech markets, whith approximately $5 million in revenue.

“Havas Health is continually building its capabilities worldwide and is a prime contributor to our strong performance as a company,” said Yannick Bolloré, CEO Havas Group, which is controlled by the Bolloré Group, the business empire of his family chaired by his father Vincent Bolloré, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes at $7.3 billion.

Gemini Healthcare is a full-service healthcare marketing, communications, and consulting agency. Gemini is currently led by Gary Ainsworth and Michael Pill. Ainsworth will serve as CEO and Pill will serve as CCO at the new company Havas Gemini – the result of combining Gemini Healthcare with existing Havas group Managed Edge.
