Ubimo, a leading Israeli self-service platform for mobile marketing offering real world context targeting, has raised $7.5 million in Series B funding, led by Pitango Venture Capital, with the participation of OurCrowd and Yahoo Japan Corp.’s YJ Capital. With this round, Ubimo has now raised a total of $9.7 million.
Hiroki Taniguchi, YJ Capital states: “We have been very impressed by Ubimo’s technology, progress and the team. In a very short time they have proved their technology is providing a real added value for advertisers. We believe their technology and solution will change the way advertisers reach their target audience. This is YJ Capital’s first investment in Israel and we are very excited to add them to our portfolio.”
Ubimo was founded in 2013 to enable brands and advertisers to leverage real world context together with the latest programmatic media buying technologies. Its technology goes beyond location data, layering multiple real world signals such as local POI (point of interest) and business data, live weather and local events to build a real understanding of the user’s decision moments in real time. Dozens of Fortune 500 brands now benefit from Ubimo’s advanced targeting platform, receiving unprecedented results for their mobile advertising campaigns.
“We have seen demand exploding these past couple of years as brands and advertisers are discovering the true power in mobile. Marketers today realize that they can no longer treat mobile as an additional channel, and that this has to be the main pillar of their digital strategy.”
“Our unique SaaS platform gives our clients both the power of real world actionable insights and user behavior analytics together with full transparency and control,” said Ran Ben¬Yair, Ubimo’s CEO.
“We led this investment round for Ubimo because of its strong, fast, organic growth and with this additional capital the momentum will be even stronger,” said Rami Beracha, General Partner at Pitango Ventures. “Ubimo is redefining targeted mobile advertising, taking things to a granular level like no company has before ¬ bringing truly spectacular results to its clients.”
